Introduction About Parthian Settlement Of Nisa
Once known as the capital of Parthian Empire, today the Parthian Settlement of Nisa consists of two hill-forts, such as, the Old Nisa and New Nisa. Parthian Empire from the mid 3rd century BC to the 3rd century AD was the major power. The region has also become famous for the fast and beautiful horses. But in the 3rd century BC, the city was completely destroyed in under the rule of the Sasanids. Though New Nisa had managed to survive after being ruined by the Sasanids, it was completely destroyed by the Mongols in the 13th century. However, the New Parthian Settlement of Nisa had played a big role in development of the region.
