Neutrality Monument, a three-ledged arch or tower crowned by a 12-metre tall gold-plated statue of Niyazov, is the top attraction in Turkmenistan Tours. The real name of Neutrality Monument was the “Arch of Neutrality” and it also has gained the international status of permanent neutrality on 12^th December 1995. So, the 12^th December in Turkmenistan is celebrated as the Day of Neutrality. It was built by the order of Saparmurat Niyazov and “Polimer”, the Turkish company has started the construction of the Arch of Neutrality, in 1996. It was opened on 12^th December 1998 in the centre of Ashgabat.

After 2010, and the next two years, the monument was moved to the modern highway, Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue. It was renamed as the Monument Arch of Neutrality or “Neutrality Monument” and the height became 95 metre.
