Founded in 1876, the History Museum of Uzbekistan is located in Tashkent. The dresses and costumes of modern trends are decorated with traditional oriental motifs, embroidered and applied by batik methods.
Located in Samarkand, Afrasiab Museum is among the Top Uzbekistan Museums and also offers unique exhibits. These exhibits are ossuaries, ancient swords with its fragments, elements of knives and arrows, coins, pottery, terracotta figurines, jewelry. The findings are prehistoric and the fragments of frescoes of the Hall of Ambassadors belong to the Ikhshidid dynasty during the VII-VIII centuries. The Sogdian ossuary and deformed skulls are the major attractions of this museum.
Also known as the Karakalpak State Museum of Arts, Savitsky Art Museum is known as the second-largest Russian avant-garde museum of the world. It is located in Nukus, the capital of the Karakalpakstan region, and famous as the best archaeological and folk art collections in Asia. There are six departments, which are: Visual Arts, Archaeology, Educational Department, Department of People’s Applied Arts, Restoration Department and Registration and Storage Sector.
Established in 1918, the Museum of National University became the State Art Museum of Uzbekistan in 1935. It is the largest art museum among all art Uzbekistan Museums. The initial collection of this museum is the artwork of sculpture, paintings, drawings, porcelain by Russian and Western European masters from the collections of the Prince Romanov and other private collections. The major four departments are the National applied art of Uzbekistan, Fine arts of Uzbekistan, Russian and Western art, Far East art.
Located in Tashkent, Art Gallery of Uzbekistan is one of the youngest museums of Uzbekistan. The Art Gallery of Uzbekistan is equipped with the requirements of picture storage and display. The Gallery’s main exhibition consists of 15 rooms. In addition to them, there is a conference room, lecture hall, small cinema hall, library, and studio to hold masterclasses and workshops.

The Museum of Applied Art of Uzbekistan was built in 1927 and was known as the Museum of Handicrafts until 1997.
