Fonded in 12th July 1876, the Museum of Nature in Tashkent is the oldest museum in Central Asia. Later, in 1921, it became the Central Museum of Central Asia and operated as the museum committee like preservation of Antiquities, art and nature.
The museum was considered as the State Museum Of History In Tashkent during January 1935 and it became Museum of Nature in 1944. The museum was awarded "Uzbekistan's Best Museum" in 1967.
